My name is Amanda and I have been riding for 20 years and am a CHA certified and insured instructor. My professional experience includes working as a lesson instructor, trainer, guest ranch wrangler and horse camp director. My focus is on providing riders of all levels with a safe and fun western riding experience based on complete horsemanship. In addition to learning and developing riding skills, I emphasize the fundamental understanding of the relationship between horse and rider through consistent, fair communication and mutual respect.

Western riding lessons:

We offer private and group western riding lessons, whether you are riding for the first time or want to take your riding to the next level. Lessons focus on developing and improving a balanced seat, quiet hands, and clear, consistent cues that are the foundations of any discipline. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun riding experience for the recreational rider and develop skills that can be used to progress into any riding discipline. We offer school horses for all levels of riders, or riders can take lessons on their own horse. Lessons are 1 ½ hours, and include tacking up and horsemanship instruction. In order to maintain individualized and safe instruction, group lessons are never more that 3 riders.

Lesson rates

$50 – private lesson

$180 – 4 private lesson package (must be used within 5 weeks)

$40 – group lesson

$30– lesson on your personal horse

Training

We offer horse training, from building on the foundations of a young, green horse to problem solving to tuning up a finished horse, with the goal of developing a safer, more responsive and reliable mount in any discipline.

Training rates:

$35 - per hour

$15 – lunging/groundwork session
